Jaguar Track & Field Continues to Obtain Personal Bests
SJCC Track and Field shows strong at CSM Last Chance Meet
SAN MATEO - SJCC Track & Field continues to make their mark on the Northern California scene.
At the CSM Last Chance meet yesterday, Joemar Belena led the team with personal-bests of 10.80 in the 100m and 22'9 3/4 in the Long Jump. His later mark in the Long Jump just missed the State-A standard by 1 cm. Also for the Jags, Cody Huoch acquired 3 personal-bests recording 16.72 in the High Hurdles, 41'6 in the Triple Jump and 9' 4 1/2" in the Pole Vault. Alan Ibarra had a personal-best of 135'2" in the Discus Throw. Shaheed Brown and Andy Ly continue to improve in the jumps and throws as well.
Our Jaguar Women were led by Jaziah Lawson who won the High Jump yesterday at 5'1. Jaziah also ran a season-best in the High Hurdles. To cap off the day, Felicity Tomisaka ran a personal-best in the 1500 at 5:25 and Alexis Smith had a personal-best of 94'5" in the Discus Throw.
The Jags look to continue gaining momentum next in the Coast Conference Trials at De Anza College on April 24th, and CC Finals on April 27th.
