Bio

Andy Gonzalez is in his first season with the Jaguars and will serve as the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach.  Andy brings with him more than 20 years of coaching experience.  Most recently he served as the Run Game Coordinator while coaching the offensive and defensive lineman at Scotts Valley HS with Louie Walters for the past two seasons.   The 2017 Falcons advanced to the Semi-Finals of the CCS playoffs.

Coach Gonzalez’s coaching experience includes stints at Cabrillo College from 2011-2016 where he served as Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach. The 2012 team was Co-Coast Conference Champions.  From 2000-2010, he coached at Gavilan College and held several positions; Offensive Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach, and Assistant Head Coach.  While at Gavilan the 2003/2004/2006 teams were Co-Coast Conference Champions.  2003 Capital Shrine Bowl, 2004 CLO Bowl participants.

In addition, Andy coached at Salesian Prep, Richmond, CA for the 1998 and 1999 season, where he served as the Run Game Coordinator and coached the O/D lineman.  The 1999 team was Co-BVAL League champions and made it to the Semi-Finals of the playoffs.  During 1995-1997 seasons, Coach Gonzalez was a Graduate Assistant Coach at the University of California, Berkeley for the 1995-1997 season. Worked under Coach Tom Cable and the Offensive Line/TE.  1996 Aloha Bowl participants.

As a Student-Athlete, Andy, attended Phineas Banning High School in Wilmington, CA Andy was a three-year varsity letter winner and named team captain his senior year.  His team was the 1988 LA-City 4A finalist and Coach Gonzalez earned 1st Team All-League, All-City, and LA Times honors.  Gonzalez was by Colorado, Washington State, USC, and Washington but accepted an offer to University of California, Berkeley. While at Cal the Bears went to 1990 Copper Bowl, 1992 Citrus Bowl, and 1993 Alamo Bowl.

Andy earned a BS degree in History and a minor in Education as an Undergrad from University of California, Berkeley 1994 and a MA in Education as a Graduate Student from University of California, Berkeley 1998.
