Bio

Coach Paul Williams is a Bay Area father, mentor, coach, and pillar in our San Jose community. One of the most sought after high jump coaches in the Bay Area, Coach Paul Williams guides SJCC’s high jumpers. Coach Williams’ coaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that education and the many life lessons that Track & Field teaches can help any student from any background to grow into a leader and contributing member of our Bay Area community.

Before SJCC, Mr. Williams started his coaching career as a parent contributor at Mt. Pleasant High School in the late ‘90’s while his son was a top high school student athlete. Mr. Williams’ jumpers have consistently qualified for the CCS finals. Mr. Williams’ biggest achievement was 2016’s World Junior Championships’ runner up Darius Carbin, who high jumped 7 feet, 4 ½ inches.

Coach Williams is a retired engineer who has dedicated the rest of his life to coaching and mentoring the next generation of leaders for our Bay Area community.
