Bio

Brittney Gutierrez is returning for her 8th year as Assistant Coach for the Jaguars. Coach Brittney works with the outfielders and focuses on the offensive aspects of the game. She brings energy, knowledge, and a never-give-up attitude to the program. Her experiences include serving as Head Coach at Milpitas High School and Assistant Coach at Valley Christian High School, as well as Head Coach for the 14u Stars travel team, and Director of Operations/18G Head Coach for the San José Synergy.

Coach Gutierrez graduated from Milpitas High School as a standout softball athlete, earning recognition as a two-time Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP, three-year team captain, and in 2007, she led CCS in stolen bases and home runs. She was also honored with the Marine Corps Distinguished Student-Athlete Award.

She then transferred to North Dakota State University on a full-ride athletic scholarship, where she helped guide the team to the 2008 and 2009 Summit League Championships and was part of an NCAA Norman Region Champion team. She also competed in the NCAA Sweet 16 tournament against Arizona State.

Coach Gutierrez graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology from North Dakota State University.

In 2018, Coach Gutierrez completed her Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education, and in 2020, she obtained her Master's Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Education and Coaching from Fresno Pacific University.
