The Lady Jaguars are headed to CCCAA Softball State Championship!
Game one: Lady Jags beat Reedley 8-0 in five innings
Stefanie Troja pitched a shutout picking up her 20th win on the season. At bat she was 2-3 with a single and a double, scored a run. Kayla Rooney led the way offensively with 3 hits, a single, double and triple and knocked in four runs. Natasha Sachdeva added three hits and three RBIs and scored a run.
The Lady Jags scored two runs in the first inning, a run in the fourth, and five runs in the fifth inning.
In the fifth inning, Maddie Gallagher led off with a single, Stefanie Troja hit a double off left centerfield wall, Natasha Sachdeva hit a single to score Gallagher. Zylee Augenstein singled and Keelin Spencer reached base on an error which scored Troja. With two outs and bases loaded, Kayla Rooney hit a double to left center to clear the bases and the game ended 8-0 in five innings. (mercy rule)

The Jags scored three runs in the first inning. Keelin Spencer led off as she was hit by a pitch, Kayla Rooney moved her over on a sac bunt and Freddie Carrillo hit a double to left field to score Spencer. Maddie Gallagher hit a two run homer over the centerfield fence. The Jags then scored one run each in the second and third innings. In the fifth inning, Rooney led off with a walk, Carrillo hit a single, Gallagher was walked intentionally to load the bases. Troja hit a single to score Rooney. Sachdeva squeezed in Carrillo. With two outs Zylee Augenstein hit a single to score Troja to end the game 8-0 in five innings.
The Jags played excellent defense shutting down the Tigers to no runs.
Next up the Lady Jaguars will take on Palomar College at the CCCAA Softball State Championships.
